  Food was very good. Service at the table very good. On the limit for value for what you get. Signing up for the wait list online is a total puzzlement. Our party of 5 signed up online for the wait list and were told when we arrived that it would be about 30 minutes. (When we arrived the manager (we think it was a manager) asked how long ago we had signed up. I said 10 minutes and perhaps it was more like 15.) Nearly one hour later and three discussions with the host/hostess we were seated after pointing out twice that several groups of 5 or more had been seated which, perhaps wrongly, raised concern with us. I asked at least twice what is the advantage of signing up for the wait list online and the answer is you go on a preferred wait list - but we don't, at this time, understand what that means - are we then on the wait list or are we not on the wait list? Is the "preferred wait list" the same as the "wait list" or is it somehow different? We used online wait list sign-up at "On the Border", received a text message with an estimated waiting time and that worked great for us. (Our name was called as we drove into the parking lot.) Someone, please explain what is the advantage of signing up online at BJ's. We tipped on the basis of the food and the service - not on our online experience. One star loss for the online experience and one star loss for the value for what you get concern - prices seem high for what you get - Olive Garden does better on the value for food – BJ’s beer choices are better.

  The food is over priced. The service is lackluster. The micro brews are not the best the valley has to offer.
